"Sweet Treat" Bag by Moda

"Stampin' Quilter" Barb and I purchased the pattern for this 8x10" bag and made it together yesterday. She used a HoneyBun roll of 1-1/2" fabric strips from Moda, and I cut my strips from stash fabrics. The inside of the bag (below) is lined with the same fabrics used on the outside. I used a large snap on the flap to close it with an old button to hide the stitches on the outside. I no longer carry a purse, but I keep a lot of "stuff" in my car. Now that my husband is retired, I find myself going places with him in his car, but my necessary "stuff" is at home in my car! So I plan to get duplicate "stuff" and keep this bag in my husband's car. I don't think he will mind too much. ;) If anyone is interested, I think you might be able to find this bag pattern online. Barb, post your bag too!

It is always nice to have your "stuff" handy. I am afraid I am a bit much of a pack rat.

Nice job on the bag, Barb. I'm afraid I still carry too much stuff to give up carrying my purse all the time, but I do try to take a smaller bag whenever possible.

We always have a fun time just getting together & then to also have the same interest in quilting just makes our friendship even sweeter. It also helpes that we live across the street from each other :)
p.s. I just posted my bag

Love this purse!! I carry a denim purse that holds 'everything'. I just can't get along without it. However I recently bought a purse pattern that I would like to try - since I still need the security blanket of a full purse - perhaps I should make one that is a bit more fashionable! *smile*

and the embroidery just takes practice and not wearing my glasses!

I love it! Sometimes I manage to downsize it, but am not at the point where I'm able to relinquish carrying one.
