Embellished Felted Vessel
I liked the comment from the last post to embellish with one special bead or button. I had this brass and Mother of Pearl button in my stash and like it on this vessel. "Less is more" comes to mind.
These are gorgeous...I love working with fibers..... so soft.....Not sure if you saw the r eply on my blog or not in regards to the bowl I made.....
I took a class a few years ago and was told you can use fine gauge wire// some use hemp...I used clothesline rope.. coiled method and I sew them together and shape however you wish. some people in the class actually wanted to hand stitch their items .....you can add in yarns fibers ect.... I did knots on the handles and then I used buttons to embellish.....
I do not have that here at home with me....It is at my studio and I will be going there on Thursday so I will get close up photos for you then..............
Absolutely Fabulous Barbara! Love it. If it ends up in your Etsy store, don't be surprised to find me there scooping it up! Hmmm, I wonder if you could again deliver it in person, like my Jester's Hat (which I loooove). :)
I think it made a perfectly elegant statement.
