My husband doesn't have a blog, so I'm sharing his work here. He has recently gotten back to woodworking, and this is his first boat. Everything was hand-carved from a block of basswood, then sanded, painted, and varnished. This is not my usual type of post, but it belongs here because I made the sails! I think I had the easiest job.

Its wonderful!! I've always admired carving but would never put my fingers in peril with such sharp objects *smile*.
ReplyDeleteSilly you! Any post belongs here. Great boat. My husband used to carve when Laurie was small. He has taught our boys to carve as well. Mostly he carved animals and birds. I cherish them all. Hi arthritic hands no longer allow the hobby.
ReplyDeleteWhy did your husband select sail boats? Do you sail? We used to back in the 80's with a friend that is no longer with us. It's wonderful.
