A Seaworthy Felted Vessel

This is my only crocheted (instead of knitted) vessel, and it's extremely sturdy. I think it would actually float, so I embellished it with shells and glass beads, rounds and leaf drops, that remind me of the sea. I love working with variegated colored yarn because I never know how it will look in the end. Surprises are fun! I'm not yet sure where this one will end up, perhaps in my Etsy shop.

Great concept! I can just see it floating down a stream for someone to find. They would think it was a miracle!

I like variegated yarn and threads for the same reason. Sometimes there is a surprise pattern that works out and other times it is blissfully random.

You have inspired me. I finally bought some yarn today and a pattern. I am going to give it a try. This piece is gorgeous. The shell flowers on the vine with the leaves (glass daggers) are so creative.
