Hurricane Sandy Vintage Finds

On separate walks along streets that were under almost 4 feet of water last year during Hurricane Sandy, I found these two vintage 3" Horse Brass pieces. One was found 5 months ago, and the other just yesterday after the streets were cleaned by the township. With the area under so much water during the hurricane it's not possible to know where they came from, but they have found a home with us as a reminder of the power of nature.

Wow! Those are cool. Aquarius - ironic, eh? The water sign. I like the kitty. Thanks for sharing & have a super day!

We have some from England. I think a lot of pubs have them hanging. No telling where these came from , like you said, but it's a cool find.

Definitely treasures to keep. Funny how you found them . Were you looking? or was it happenstance?

These two have stories to tell and reflect....I think you should find a way to incorporate them into your story surviving Hurricane Sandy. Enjoy your new treasures. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Those are so cool. I have no idea of the size of those, but I am sure you will find an interesting way of displaying them .

Beautiful but bittersweet reminders. It got me thinking about the treasures I have stashed here in my studio for use 'someday' and what someone would make of them if they were scattered hither and yon.

Nice finds. I bet all kinds of treasures will be washed up with the tides. Sandy was such a heartbreaking storm for so many.
