My First Free Motion Quilting

These two 10" squares of sandwiched fabric and batting (tiny quilts?) are on their way to becoming something else, but I wanted to post this step --- free-motion quilting! It's the first I've really tried this, and it was fun. I don't think I'd want to do an entire quilt though!

I love working on tiny quilts...portable...simple...easy to carry when you are on the road or waiting in a doctor's office. I can hardly wait! Have a great week Barbara! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

that is great for a first try. I have seen worse from people who have been doing it for while.

I've done this on a small scale both with book arts and even now I do it for backing on punchneedle pictures (the birds I recently did were mounted on a free style quilted piece. I never got into very much detail and like you - small appeals to me.

Freeform; love it! It kind of takes on a life of its own. Awesome.
