Happy Homemaker

I came into a batch of sample "Happy Homemaker" squares at guild once that no one wanted. I didn't want them to go to waste, so I took them home and started to work them into a design with red cornerstones. Although I was thinking placemats, I ended up with something I needed more -- a cover for my sewing machine. It really brightens up my sewing room corner!

lovely! My mother found a box of squares approx. 3 x 3 that had been her mothers from the depression. My mom made a quilt with them.

Ah that turned out great! I started one and should finish it since I have two machines now!

I have a cover that came with my machine, but I never color it. Am I bad?
I just figure if it is covered I won't be as likely to sit and sew.

That is a great idea. My sewing machine is covered with the plastic bag that she came in. I should really make a pretty cover for her.

Good idea. I made a cover for my sewing machine several years ago but its starting to show its wear. Might designate that as one of my 2014 efforts (or might not) *smile*.
