Soap Making - Part 2

This is my first batch of soap in the making, and BAM(!) it went from the first photo to the second in minutes. It's called "seizing", something soap makers do not want. One must be a chemist to understand this process! Now I must "rebatch" it. I'm always learning something here, but that's good for aging brain cells. Happy New Year!

Oh my goodness - just following a bread baking recipe is challenge enough for me. Its good to learn new things and Happy New Year!

Good Luck with your soap making. I have always wanted to try making soap. I have a friend that makes beautiful decorative soaps. Keep at it. Happy New Year!!!!

Ugh! But, like you said--a good learning curve. Looks interesting, but I bet it smells great.
