Weaving a Mood

As I sit and meditatively weave on my frame loom...over, under, swish, over under, swish...I was suddenly struck by the peaceful mood created by this repetitive motion and the sun streaming in the window. I decided it was worth sharing a photo. Finished piece coming soon!

My aunt has a big wooden loom in her basement that had belonged to her sister who wove rag rugs on it. I wish I would have asked my Aunt Ellen to show me how the loom worked before she passed. Auntie made many rugs on that loom. I can remember all the cut strips of fabric that were pieced together and then rolled into balls.
I have so many projects that are calling to me, but I don't seem to have the time to do anything.

I can connect to exactly what you said….experiencing such a joyful, grateful, & peaceful moment creating that you want to share the experience. Beautiful even in process.
