Wooden Apple Cutout

This apple is another of my husband's jigsaw wood cutouts. I've been enjoying the decoupage process to finish them and have found I get a crinkly vintage look by using very thin paper. I tore decorative paper napkins and applied the pieces to the wood with layers of Mod Podge. It's pretty as is, or useful as a pen/pencil holder. I think it's a great teacher gift, but my kids are no longer kids!

I love doing that also. I have a large collection of paper napkins for when I get the urge to glue!

It came out great. I like something like this on a shelf with books. Enjoy your week sweet friend!
