Making Paper (or something like that)

Upcycling junk mail to make paper intrigues me, and this is my first attempt. I want to make something pretty and usable. Unfortunately, this is neither! I'll work with my supplies, keep trying, and post the results here no matter how they turn out. It will be an exercise in humility. Wish me luck and stay tuned!

I've seen people make paper, but I must confess I don't have a clue as to what to do with it when it's done. I'll be interested to see what YOU, oh you of many talents!

FYI this is great collage art paper.

You could also cut strips and put it in your weavings

You can always paint it with either water colors or better yet watered down acrylics. I think you're going to have fun with it. I've even sewed through it (however I've never actually made my own *smile*).

Great learning project! I think it would be grand to be able to up cycle paper into something that would be good for wrapping presents... I hate buying wrapping paper! I often save colorful inserts and comic pages, cut them into strips, and do a basket weave with them and ta da wrapping paper! Would be even more fun to make those papers into papers. You lead the way, Barbara!
