Have Rust, Will Dye

Step 1 -- wrap and tie vinegar-soaked fabric around a rusty object. In this case, it's a hanging bird feeder.
Step 2 --tightly seal in plastic to keep the fabric from drying out.
Step 3 -- check back in 24 hours for the results.
That will be tomorrow's post, although the fabric is already showing great rusty color!

I want to hear the rest of the process too. Do you just rinse it out or do you set it somehow?

I should not be surprised that the depth of your curiosity and cleverness is endless! When I first saw this I thought you were going to teach me how to remove rust from my outdoor objects. Silly me. I should have know better! Can't wait to see what the cloth looks like when finished.
