April Mini-Quilt Swap

This is half of the 14x22" mini-quilt I made for my swap partner in Nevada. I chose the Churn Dash block and worked it into the theme for the month -- black, white, and one other color. I "quilted" it by tying with DMC floss and vintage buttons. ;) The mini-quilt she made for me is on its way to NJ, and I'll post a pic when it arrives. I can't wait!

It's lovely, Barbara! Your swap partner will be thrilled. I am all the more impressed as I spent the better part of an afternoon this week making my first nine patch. It turned out terrible. Really wonky. Not sure if I'm cut out to be a quilter! lol!! :)))

It looks great. You know that would have been a challenge for me to only use black/white and one other color.

I love the interruption of the black and white pattern with the blue. Very striking.
