Knitting Experiment

At the risk of cracking up those who are master knitters, here is my attempt to learn the purl stitch. This wonky dish cloth is the result. After putting the project down, I had trouble remembering where I left off when I picked it up again, so there are number of mistakes. Lol. No matter, it will make fine dish cloth!

Looks okay to me.... did you use the "pattern" where you increase stitches each row until you get to the center and then decrease?

I can knit and purl perfectly. Period. I would love to be able to create lovely lace, as I can in crochet, but knittled lace is so much more beautiful. I'll have to stick to sewing and embroidery for instant gratification!!

Considering that the only two people who tried to teach me to knit threw their hands up in surrender this looks good to me *smile*!
