Bigger Vessel

Here's my newest knitted-in-the-round vessel. I've learned the correct name for the process of knitting and finishing with hot water and agitation is "fulling", not "felting". Felting is done with fibers, and fulling is done with woven cloth. Using 5 needles with more stitches makes this one larger, so it's a bit less "wee" than my last one (3" diameter x 2-1/4" high).

It is gorgeous. Love the colors and how they "come and go".

I never knew that -- a new word definition for me! Love these colors, they are so rich.

I am really interested in trying this. Maybe I can start on it this week. I just took a long piece of wool fabric off the loom and fulled it. I love the rich complexity it adds to the fabric.

I think this process of making vessels is amazing. I especially like the way the colors blend after being fulled. Cool word, fulled. Appropriate description of the final step.
