Leatherworking

This craft has come and gone in our family for decades, and recently our youngest son decided to try his hand at it. He cut up an old jacket and these attractive yet useful pieces are the result. Except for saddle stitching, I don't know the steps in his process, but I am sure these will all outlast me! ;)

Very nice!! I did leather work years ago and really enjoyed it. I still have the tools. Maybe in the back of my mind that's what I keep that old leather coat for. Nope...I'm not gonna go search for those tools...nope, not today!!
