Monthly Mini-Quilt Swap

My mini-quilt group theme for the month is Halloween. This is what I came up with after going through my stash. I used fussy-cut images from "The Wizard of Oz" and machine appliqu├ęd them on a hand-dyed muslin background. Some machine quilting finished it up. It's not specifically Halloween, but close enough. That movie scared me silly every year while growing up!

I had to chuckle...THE WIZARD OF OZ SCARED YOU!! I remember watching The Creature From The Black Lagoon...now THAT scared ME!!

Every Saturday night WGN TV in Chicago broadcast Creature Features with Spengoolie or Elmira hosting all those old Bella Lagossi, Boris Karloff and Vincent Price movies...I LOVED it!!

This is a great little quilt!

Wow - The Wizard of Oz was one of my all time favorite movies *smile*. We weren't allowed to watch 'scary' movies as kids but in my teens I saw "Psycho" and couldn't take a shower for years!

I, too, am laughing about the Wizard of Oz scaring you. I saw it at a rather young age. I don't remember ever being scared by it.
