Drop-Spindle Art Yarn

This is my very first attempt on my new student drop spindle. I used up all the green hand-dyed roving I had from a local knitting and spinning shop. All suggestions welcome! Is a "niddy-noddy" my next step? I do not have one.

You can use a niddy noddy at this point. It is easy to make one out of PVC. http://www.allfreeknitting.com/video-basics/how-to-make-a-niddy-noddy

Or if you want you can just wind it off and wrap it around something that it can "rest" on for a week or so and use it as a single to knit.

I'm still chuckling over the names Niddy Noddy! Hmmm I think I could create some beings with those names. *smile* As for what or how to use it I can't help you there.

Hmmmm...I tried a drop spindle once upon a time-and got totally frustrated with it. I think it would have helped if I had someone showing me how to do it....

I bought one to spin newspaper yarn. But, of course, haven't tried it yet.
